The First Visit

Greeting friends! We are KinderCycle :)

For our Effective Communication project, we decided to conduct a community project on the importance of recycling. The target group is a group of kindergarten children from Tadika Iltizam Cemerlang in Parit Raja. This kindergarten is situated in Taman Maju Baru, which is located at the avenue of Parit Raja heading towards Ayer Hitam.

We visited kindergarten last Thursday afternoon to meet up with the caretaker of the institution.

Brief meeting before the visit

The kindergarten compound

The kindergarten is equipped with basic amenities and facilities such as a surau, a common area, an open backyard, two classrooms and toilets.

On the day of our visit, we had a brief interview session with Pn. Miskiah Binti Juri, the caretaker and teacher of the kindergarten. It came to our realisation that this kindergarten is about 30 years old and it is said that this place is the very first pre-school in Parit Raja. Back in the days, there were 5 classes a day ; 3 morning classes and 2 afternoon class. The number of classes shrunk by almost 50 percent over a span of thirty years as emergence new kindergartens increased the competition. In spite of that, Tadika Iltizam Cemerlang is still standing tall as ex-students of this institution are supporting this place by sending their children here.

A discussion with the caretaker of Tadika Iltizam Cemerlang

As the chat continues, we presented our ideas and plans for our community project over a cup of tea. The time and date of project was decided prior to the negotiation of both parties. Pn. Miskiah was satisfied with our plan and gave us the green light! (And we are ready to go!)

Are you ready kids?

Stay tuned to the next blog post where we will list out the tentative and the things we prepared.
Thank you for reading!
